Book of the Month: ?

I am so sad to admit that I am behind on my book a month goal for this year. I was able to finish last year's book and another book in January but I have yet to finish February's book which was The Authentic Catholic Woman. I have been trying to finish Financial Peace Revisited by Dave Ramsey for our Financial Peace University class that we have been taking since January. Our class ends mid-April and I would like to finish reading it before then. If I do, then I may have to count this as my February book. I still hope to finish The Authentic Catholic Woman and count it toward March.

I have also added a couple other books to my list of interests. I received The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman from some friends as our paper first anniversary gift. I have heard so much about this book and have wanted to add it to my list of books. I have heard this book being talked about on Christian radio. Knowing and understanding our love language will help us understand each other in our marriage. I also heard Dr. Emerson Eggerichs on Dave Ramsey's radio program on Valentine's Day. He was talking about his book Love and Respect. I found so much of what he had to say about men and women and marriage to be true. I could see them happening in our marriage. Understanding some of these fundamental differences can help strengthen our marriage.

The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman
Love and Respect by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs

I have not had a chance to pick up my bonus book Heaven is for Real. I just could not picture myself picking up and finishing this book when I could not even finish the books I had planned on reading for this year. Perhaps when I am caught up I can go back and finish this book as my bonus book as well.

I am looking forward to some "me time" this Saturday where I hope to get much of this reading done. Perhaps I can get caught up in reading Financial Peace Revisited and finish The Authentic Catholic Woman. Financial Peace Revisited reads pretty fast since we are also taking the class. The Authentic Catholic Woman is a relatively short book but the material is deep and takes much thought. I think with some focus and determination I can get caught up on Financial Peace Revisited and finish The Authentic Catholic Woman. If not, then there is always next week during some of the terrible storms we have been having.

Daybook

FOR TODAY

Last Daybook for March 2011

Outside my window... it is raining VERY hard. We have had severe weather here for the last couple of days. Rain, thunder and lightning, tornadoes… We needed the rain but I do not like the severe weather conditions that come with it.

Severe weather images

Severe weather in Florida

I am thinking... it would be nice to spend all day sleeping. All Gracie ever does all day is try to find a better spot to nap. What a tough life!

It is so hard to find a place to nap
It is a tough life being a cat
Please!! Can a cat just nap in peace??

I am thankful for... a husband to keep me safe during severe weather. The other night the thunder and lightning was so bad. It scared me in my sleep. My dear husband just held me tighter and assured me I would be okay. I went back to sleep safe in his arms.

From the kitchen... I baked banana bread from scratch. Okay, so it was not made fresh today… but I have been busy watching the severe weather.

Banana bread from scratch

I am wearing... my pajamas and thinking it would be nice to crawl under the covers and hide from the thunder and lightning.

I am creating... a first anniversary paper gift. Oh the memories we have had…

I am going... with Terry and Julie to our seminar this week. I hate driving in severe weather and I am so glad that they are willing to give me a ride. The car rides with them are so much fun!

I am reading... Financial Peace Revisited (still) but Terry and Julie gave me The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman. I am going to have to add it to my reading list. Thanks Terry and Julie for a great first anniversary gift!

The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman

I am hoping praying... safety for everyone in this severe weather all over the central Florida area.

A truck overturned on I-75
A damaged plane
There was significant damage at Sun-n-Fun

I am hearing... heavy rain and thunder in the distance.

Around the house... I am all caught up on my cleaning. I finally was able to get the clutter cleared and organized. Next week it will all start again.

One of my favorite things... cuddling with my husband and Gracie. They make me feel safe and warm. I love it when our family is together. There is nothing like quality time with family.

A few plans for the rest of the week:

Tonight: Seminar Week #6
Friday: Visit family
Saturday: Hubby working OT and some “Me time”

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

All aboard…

My 3-year-old niece Miranda was excited to ride the train around the mall

My younger sister Lauralee & 8-year-old nephew Dominic
My 11-year-old niece Lexy

I am captured by you

Artist: Christian Bautista featuring Sitti
Album: Captured
Song: Captured
Year: 2008

Lyrics

I was captured the moment we met
Carried away with every word you said
It's a mystery how you got to me
I fell in the spell of your charms
With your siren's smile you caught me off guard

Just one glance took away my breath

Then you drew me in with your tenderness
You captivate my soul, I'm enraptured
You knocked me out and you locked me up
Stole my heart like a thief at love
Keep me here in your happy ever after
I'm captured

By the way just in case you care

I'm here to stay, I'm not going anywhere
I took a dive in your deep dark eyes
And I'm never coming up for air
I lost myself in this bond that we share

One sweet kiss took away my breath

Then you drew me in with your tenderness
You captivate my soul, I'm enraptured
You knocked me out and you locked me up
Stole my heart like a thief at love
Hold me tight in your happy ever after

Now you've got the best of me

No one else could hold the key
I'm captured

Just one touch took away my breath

When you drew me in I could not resist
You captivate my soul, I'm enraptured
You knocked me out and you locked me up
Stole my heart like a thief at love
Keep me here in your happy ever after
I'm captured

I first heard this song early 2009 on a sample wedding video from a classmate from high school. (Thank God for social networking allowing us to keep in touch even after almost 20 years after we graduated high school) I had never heard the song before but I was immediately captured by not only the catchy tune but the lyrics. It went so well with the sample wedding video. Even the words and footage seemed to match. It was a beautiful glimpse into their wedding.

When I was picking the songs for our wedding video, I immediately thought of this one. I contacted my old classmate and learned that the artist was Filipino. I was even more interested in using the song in our video. I knew it would be a good way to review the events of our big day. Watching the video from our wedding, I realize that this song fit perfectly into our video, too.

This song also says a lot about my dear husband. There is something so captivating about him. I am not sure what it is exactly. There is something about his eyes. There is something about his smile. There is something about his laugh. There is something about his hugs. There is something about his kiss. There is something about him that just gets me every time.

I am so captured by you.

Model Family

We were so blessed to have been married at Holy Family Catholic Church. Not only was the Church and faith community one that I had grown to love but the guidance of the Holy Family can be seen throughout our marriage.

We have a model family for our own families here on Earth. The Holy Family consisting of Mary, Joseph, and the Jesus represent everyone that we are and hope to be. They are the prime examples for us in our lives as sons and daughters, sisters and brothers, mothers and fathers and any role that we may have in our family.

Mary

"Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word." (Luke 1:38)

In Mary's response to the angel Gabriel at the Annunciation, we see a great example of accepting God's will for us. She does not just say let it be done but she accepts that it is done unto to her just as He had said and planned for her. Mary accepted God's will without any question. She is the perfect example of wife and mother.

Joseph

The Lord appeared to St. Joseph three times in a dream and he responded each with obedience. (Matthew 1:20-26, Matthew 2:13-15, Matthew 2:19-23)

The Lord appears to Joseph in a dream on three separate occasions. Joseph does what the Lord tells him to do in each dream. He first accepts Mary as his wife despite knowing that she is carrying a child which is not his. Then he takes Mary and Jesus to Egypt for their safety and protection. Then finally he brings them back to Nazareth when it is safe for them to return. He humbly accepts God's will for him. He sets an example of what it means to be husband and father.

Jesus

"Father, if you are willing, take this cup away from me; still, not my will but yours be done." (Luke 22:42) "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit" (Luke 23:46)

Jesus is our perfect example of love. He shows us how to follow the will of God even when it is not what we would do. He surrenders everything including His life to follow the will of God. He is obedient to His Father and His will. He is the perfect example of son (or daughter) and brother (or sister).

What role models we have in the Holy Family!

I pray that I can continue to follow God's will for us and our family.

Daybook

FOR TODAY

March 23, 2011

Outside my window... a beautiful sunny 74 degrees outside. It is a perfect day for a bike ride after I accomplish a few chores inside.

I am thinking... how fast time flies when you are having fun. This time last year I just could not wait for our wedding. Now our first anniversary is a little more than 2 weeks away. What a year we have had!

I am thankful for... great friends -- Terry and Julie. God has put people in my life at the right time. It was not any different with Terry and Julie. We have shared many experiences. They have inspired me to better. They have become more than friends. I pray that when we have been married forty years, we can be just like them.

From the kitchen...
I made easy meals today and I am catching up on some cleaning that I have been putting off for sometime.

I am wearing...
comfortable clothes to get some house chores done.

I am creating going to create... a first anniversary gift for my wonderful husband. Gifts are more special when you make them yourself. I need some new ideas for first anniversary gifts though.

I am going... to get all these chores done sooner or later. Probably more later than sooner. There is much to be done. I am happy to be making progress.

I am reading... Financial Peace Revisited by Dave Ramsey. I am so behind on reading. I need a day or two just to catch up.

I am hoping praying... my brother-in-law and his wife and their little bun in the oven. We are going to be aunt and uncle again for the ninth time. I am excited for a new little K.

I am hearing... contemporary Christian music channel on the digital music channel while getting some cleaning done.

Around the house... I am getting caught up on some neglected house chores. I have put off a few chores and I am paying the price.

One of my favorite things... is reminiscing about our wedding day. Our FIRST anniversary is coming up and I have been looking at the pictures from our wedding. Great memories!

A few plans for the rest of the week:

Thursday Seminar Week #5
Weekend More family time
Next week: More chores & Coffee Talk with Terry & Julie

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

Pictures taken from our engagement shoot two weeks before the wedding

Try a little tenderness...

He's so gentle
His kisses are soft and tender
There is tenderness in his eyes
He holds on tightly
He never lets go
His love is so genuine and sincere
He catches me when I fall

I am captured by you.

Feast of St. Joseph - Husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Novena to St. Joseph

*Prayer to be said at the end of each day's devotion*

Saint Joseph, I, your unworthy child, greet you. You are the faithful protector and intercessor of all who love and venerate you. You know that I have special confidence in you and that, after Jesus and Mary, I place all my hope of salvation in you, for you are especially powerful with God and will never abandon your faithful servants. Therefore I humbly invoke you and commend myself, with all who are dear to me and all that belong to me, to your intercession. I beg of you, by your love for Jesus and Mary, not to abandon me during life and to assist me at the hour of my death.

Glorious Saint Joseph, spouse of the Immaculate Virgin, obtain for me a pure, humble, charitable mind, and perfect resignation to the divine Will. Be my guide, my father, and my model through life that I may merit to die as you did in the arms of Jesus and Mary.

Loving Saint Joseph, faithful follower of Jesus Christ, I raise my heart to you to implore your powerful intercession in obtaining from the Divine Heart of Jesus all the graces necessary for my spiritual and temporal welfare, particularly the grace of a happy death, and the special grace I now implore:

(Mention your request).

Guardian of the Word Incarnate, I feel confident that your prayers in my behalf will be graciously heard before the throne of God.

Amen

Memorare

Remember, most pure spouse of Mary, ever Virgin, my loving protector, Saint Joseph, that no one ever had recourse to your protection or asked for your aid without obtaining relief. Confiding, therefore, in your goodness, I come before you and humbly implore you. Despise not my petitions, foster-father of the Redeemer, but graciously receive them.

Amen.

“Christ beside me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ within me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me.”

“If I be worthy, I live for my God to teach the heathen, even though they may despise me.”

"The Lord opened the understanding of my unbelieving heart, so that I should recall my sins."

The Prayer of St. Patrick

I arise today
Through the strength of heaven;
Light of the sun,
Splendor of fire,

Firmness of the rock.

I arise today
Through God's strength to pilot me;
God's might to uphold me,
God's wisdom to guide me,
God's eye to look before me,
God's ear to hear me,
God's word to speak for me,
God's hand to guard me,
God's way to lie before me,
God's shield to protect me,
God's hosts to save me

Afar and anear,
Alone or in a mulitude.
Christ shield me today
Against wounding
Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me,
Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ on my right, Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit down,
Christ in the heart of everyone who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me,
Christ in the eye that sees me,
Christ in the ear that hears me.

I arise today
Through the mighty strength

As our first anniversary quickly approaches, we are celebrating the last few first holidays and seasons.

The last of the first holidays we have left to celebrate are St. Patrick's Day and Easter. Our Easter journey began last week with Ash Wednesday and will conclude just after our first anniversary. Even though Easter falls after our first anniversary this year, it will be our first Easter since we were married the week after Easter last year.

The Lent and the Easter season are my favorite times of the year in the Catholic Church. This is the time of the year when we prepare our hearts for our own resurrection into new life. We begin a process of change in order to cleanse us of our old selves and bring to life a new one on Easter morning with Christ's resurrection on the cross. This has always been a struggle for me to rid myself of old habits and old ways of thinking. I have always been very hard-headed as my mother used to say. I often get stuck in a rut in the ways I do things. Sometimes that rut is a good place to be and I can accomplish a lot but sometimes that rut is just that... a rut. I find myself stuck and going nowhere. I want to continue in the ruts that are working and make changes in areas that are not working so well.

Last year's Lenten season was a double season of change for me. It was not only the 40 days to prepare for Easter and the resurrection of Christ but it was also my LAST 40 days as a single woman. It was the hardest season of change for me. I was not only making changes to grow in my faith but I was also making changes in my vocation. I was about to take on a new role and I had to really prepare myself to take on this new role. I did not know what to expect. I just knew I had to prepare. I knew it was going to be the one of the biggest change I was ever going to make in my life. I wanted to be ready. I knew that there was no turning back after we said "I do" so I had to certain that I was ready to take that long walk to meet the man of my dreams. I knew that the journey I was about to go on was not just the one day but a lifetime.

With this and every Lenten season to come as we approach our anniversary, I hope to use this time to continue my preparation for a lifelong journey with Kris. I will strive to cleanse my old self and my old habits in order to be a new wife on Easter morning and on our anniversary.

Daybook

FOR TODAY

March 16, 2011

Outside my window... it is a beautiful sunny day with temps in the 70s. It is a perfect day for a bike ride or a long stroll through the neighborhood. It looks like that is not happening here. I am inside with a sore back. I am so sad to be missing out on such a beautiful day.

I am thinking... about a nice hot bath to ease the tension and pain in my lower back.

I am thankful for… a brand new day. Everyday I can see the sun has risen and the moon at night. I give thanks to God for each day that I am alive.

From the kitchen... I am planning simple meals. I need meals that do not take much preparation and/or work to cook. I need to rest my back so I can do more yard work again tomorrow.

I am wearing...
my pajamas. I am too sore to think about getting out of them.

I am creating... an SFC Facebook event -- SportsFest 2011. It is too bad I will not be able to attend. I miss my SFC family.

I am going... to win with money. Thanks to Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University program. I finally have a peace that I never thought I would have (See previous post) We are on way to changing our family tree.

I am reading... Financial Peace Revisited. I need to focus on one book at a time. I am not making any progress on my book a month goal for this year.

I am hoping praying... for anyone who has been affected by cancer. For those who continue to fight, keep up the good fight. You are winning! For those who have fought and won, all praise, honor, and glory to God! For those who have lost friends and loved ones, you have fought the good fight and there is finally peace and rest. May their souls and the souls of the faithfully departed rest in peace.

Prayers continued for all those who have been affected by the earthquake in Japan.

I am hearing...
silence (I am all caught up early on laundry this week!)

Around the house... there are more chores to be done but they will have to wait.

My favorite things... my hubby and Gracie. I caught him napping on the couch on Sunday and Gracie was sitting in his lap keeping him company. It was such a sweet sight to see. I just could not disturb them.

These are two of my favorite things...

A few plans for the rest of the week:

Thursday: Seminar Week #4
Friday: Date night with my hubby
Saturday: Time for some ME time
Sunday: Family time

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

A couple of interesting sights I found around town….

Financial Peace

Kris and I decided early on that we would follow Dave Ramsey's principles to help us budget and manage our finances. I was hesitant to get on board but I had no other suggestions for a plan for budgeting. For the last 8 weeks, I have been attending Financial Peace University. I have been learning new skills necessary to plan and maintain a budget.

Financial Peace University kit

Kris has been a fan of Dave for nearly ten years and has lived by his principles. He has managed his money well and made a decent financial profile. I was always impressed with his financial success but did not think I could obtain the same success. My personal financial profile was not as well put together. I had a difficult time with budgeting and making ends meet. During the last ten years, Kris encouraged me to listen and follow Dave's principles. I was not interested in any advice that he had for me. It was not because I was afraid it was not going to work but I was afraid to face my the financial mess I had made. Before we were engaged, I thought that it was my finances and lack of control over my expenses that would be the one hump that would keep us apart. I learned later that it was not my finances that would have been the deal breaker.

After realizing that my debt was not the deal breaker, I was able to finally face the elephant who was waiting there for me. The elephant was not as big as I had feared it to be. Kris helped me to get on track financially. I was starting to climb out of my hole and started winning with money. I was able to clean up a lot of the mess I had made before we were married. I felt as if I was able to enter into marriage with a lot less weight on my shoulders.

Throughout the course of our marriage, I have had an active role in the budgeting and handling of finances for our home. I never thought I would have been capable of such a task. I was so afraid I would lose control and single-handedly bring down our family's finances. I finally have financial peace. I no longer fear if I will make it to the next paycheck. There are times when we dip below my personal security but I use that fear to push me forward. I stretch every dollar and save wherever I can. Dave Ramsey's plan has given me the confidence to start winning with money.

I look forward to the day when we are finally say, "We are debt free. FREEDOM!"

Stories of Inspiration

The story of Drs. Tim and Alison Delgado.

In the eleven months we have been married, I have found much encouragement and inspiration from other married couples that we know. Some have only been married just a few months longer than us while others have been married for many more years than us. I have even found inspiration from others who have been married a shorter time than us. I have learned it is not about how long you have been married but the experiences that you have lived that inspire others. Common experiences have helped us to know how to handle them when we come across them in our marriage. Similar experiences allowed us to compare and contrast in order to find out and learn what will work for us in those situations. Extraordinary experiences are the ones I have found the most inspiration. To see the love between husband and wife during these extraordinary experiences have inspired me to love more deeply and to cherish what we have.

The video and link above are a perfect example of one such experience. It brought tears to my eyes as I watched and listened to their story. I am inspired by the love that he had for his wife. He fought right along side her and kept loving her. When he had nothing else, he continued to pray for her recovery. And through that love and dedication she made an incredible miraculous recovery.

I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful husband who continues to love me and take care of me even through the extraordinary experiences. I am blessed that my husband chooses to stand beside me through anything that we face in our marriage. The depth of his love is so amazing and I could not be more proud to stand beside him as his wife.

To the one who holds the key to my heart, your love is extraordinary and I am inspired by your love.

Daybook

FOR TODAY

March 8, 2011

Outside my window... it is a very hot 80 degrees. Spring has come early. It is a gorgeous day outside.

I am thinking... too many things at once. I cannot even narrow it down to just one thought. We have so many things going on right now in so many different areas of our lives. I am waiting for things to iron themselves out and things to start flowing smoothly.

I am thankful for...
the most wonderful husband. I am so blessed to have a husband who has a heart for God first and then his family. I knew I have always loved him but I have never loved this much. I grow more and more in love with him each day.

From the kitchen... I am planning meatless meals to get through Lent. My hubby is abstaining throughout all of the Lenten season this year.

I am wearing...
house clothes because it is a doing-all-the-house-chores kind of day.

I am creating... the March meal menu. It is going to take a lot more planning to keep up with no meat throughout all of Lent.

I am going... to the grocery store. I am stocking up and getting ahead for Lent.

I am reading...
Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace Revisited and The Authentic Catholic Woman. I am trying to get caught up on my book-a-month goal so I have decided to focus on these two books.

I am hoping praying...
Novena to St. Gerard. I am remembering and praying the words of Mary to the angel Gabriel: “I am the handmaid of the Lord. Let it be done to me according to your word.” It is the encouragement I need to accept the plan that God has for us but most especially His timing.

I am hearing... The Dave Ramsey Show live on the Internet and of course the dryer.

Around the house... I am busy trying to catch up on chores that still need to be done. The chores have seemed to get ahead of me in this game of house.

One of my favorite things... fun times with my nieces and nephews. I spent the weekend visiting with my sister and got to have some great quality time with my almost 11-year-old nephew and almost 6-year-old niece. I am looking for ward to this weekend when we both can spend time with the kids.

A few plans for the rest of the week:

Wednesday: Ash Wednesday Mass
Thursday: Seminar week #3
The weekend: More quality family time

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

My best friend and oldest friend from high school Chris celebrated his 37th birthday on Friday. We have been friends since we were freshman in high school more than 20 years ago. Here are some pictures from back in the day when we were young. Happy birthday Chris!

Today ends life as you know it...

Brides or grooms often hear the night before they get married "Today ends life as you know it" which implies that life is over and there is a sense of remorse and regret in choosing to get married.

I have no remorse or regret about my decision to get married. My life as I knew it may have ended, but life as I dreamed it began on the day I got married.

Remember when you tell the bride or groom "Today ends life as you know it" also remind them that "Tomorrow begins life as you have always dreamed it."

You are amazing

Artist: Bruno Mars
Album: Doo-Wops & Hooligans
Song: Just the Way You Are
Year: 2011

Lyrics:

Oh, her eyes, her eyes, make the stars look like they're not shining
Her hair, her hair, falls perfectly without her trying
She's so beautiful, and I tell her every day

Yeah, I know, I know, when I compliment her she won't believe me
And it's so, it's so, sad to think that she don't see what I see
But every time she asks me do I look ok, I say

When I see your face, there's not a thing that I would change
Cause you're amazing, just the way you are
And when you smile, the whole world stops and stares for a while
Because girl you're amazing, just the way you are(yeah)

Her lips, her lips, I could kiss them all day if she let me
Her laugh, her laugh, she hates but I think it's so sexy
She's so beautiful, and I tell her every day

Oh, you know, you know, you know, I'd never ask you to change
If perfect's what you're searching for then just stay the same
So, don't even bother asking if you look ok
You know I'll say

When I see your face, there's not a thing that I would change
Cause you're amazing, just the way you are
And when you smile, the whole world stops and stares for a while
Because girl you're amazing, just the way you are
The way you are, the way you are
Girl you're amazing, just the way you are

When I see your face, there's not a thing that I would change
Cause you're amazing, just the way you are
And when you smile, the whole world stops and stares for a while
Cause girl you're amazing, just the way you are. Yeah

When I hear this song, even though he is singing about a girl, I think of my husband. He is just simply amazing. I could describe him in the exact same way. I see and feel sparks shooting off when I kiss his lips. It makes me want to kiss him again and again. The two things I love most about him are his smile and his laugh. They are just absolutely contagious. When I see him smile, I just have to smile, too. His laugh makes me want to laugh right along with him even if I do not think it is funny. Even when I am mad and we are in the middle of a drag it out fight, I sometimes just want to laugh and smile. He just has that effect on me.

Oh my love, you are simply amazing just the way you are and I love you!

FOR TODAY

For March 1, 2011

Outside my window... it appears to be very cloudy. We are expecting some showers but so far I have not seen any. I am welcoming spring and the nice cool weather. I am not looking forward to the heat and extreme temperatures.

I am thinking... WOW! What an amazing year it has been so far. Last year about this time I was hoping time would go by just a tad bit faster so that we could finally get to our wedding day. Time has flown by ever since. The last (almost) 11 months have gone by too quick. Be careful what you wish for…you just might get it.

I am thankful for... finding a renter for our rental property. I am thankful we did not have to bring home big, heavy furniture. Soon this will be running on auto pilot and no more late night adventures to the rental property!

From the kitchen... I am cooking again. I feel like I have been slacking in the kitchen. Today I cooked Pancake Breakfast to celebrate National Pancake Day (Who needs free pancakes at IHOP?) and pasta and chicken for hubby’s dinner. It is so nice to be back in the kitchen and cooking again.

I am wearing... house clothes. It is a stay-inside-and-catch-up-on-housework kind of day.

I am creating... I personally am not working on much, but my dear husband has been working on the landscaping the last couple of weeks. There has been much progress in the backyard and he is starting to work on the front yard, too. GREAT job hubby! I am so proud of you!

I am going... places. We are succeeding and going places. We are changing our family tree. Thank you Dave Ramsey for the motivation and encouragement.

I am reading... too many books at once. I have not made much progress on any of them.

I am hoping praying... for good health.

I am hearing... the washing machine and dryer…what else? My day to blog is also my day to catch up on laundry. Today it is the sheets and laundry we brought home from the rental property.

Around the house... we have boxes that need to be unpacked. I feel like we did when we first moved here. Who knew that there was that much small stuff at the rental property? There is plenty of work that needs to be done and not enough time to do it all.

One of my favorite things... naptime. But I never seem to get them.

A few plans for the rest of the week:

Wednesday: More housework
Thursday: Seminar week #2
Friday: A visit from Mom and Dad
March Madness

Here is picture video for thought I am sharing...

In just a few days, this video has exploded on YouTube. So many have viewed, shared, and commented on it. The best part it is so true which makes it even funnier.
